Isabel Zapardiez found inspiration in the art of fencing and the symbolic world it evokes to create Touché, her sophisticated and mysterious collection with great aesthetic richness. Her 2019 brides have a magical quality; they are unique and forcefully wield their differentiation while still being subtle.
“Fencing seems to me a sport with great force, while subtle and elegant. It suggests struggle and balance … I feel identified with that duality,” Isabel Zaparidez explains.
Perhaps that is why she has become the thread of Touché, the bridal collection he has presented at Barcelona Bridal Week. In it the designer has recreated a universe that drinks from haute couture and find in embroidery its maximum representation. Very significant have been the accessories-chiffoniers and masks-that have accompanied almost all their looks.
With more than 15 years in the world of fashion, Isabel Zapardiez has turned her name into a trademark synonymous with exclusive design and Couture clothing. What began as a personal project, in the local environment of her hometown, San Sebastian, has become a firm among the brands of Spanish bridal fashion, which is firmly established in the Demi Couture.
Isabel interprets garments and elements of fencing and takes them to the world of high fashion and bridal wear, creating highly impactful sensations. The uniqueness of all its garments is based on the fact that each one is conceived, in all its details, for the woman who will take it.
The details have been the key to Isabel Zapardiez’s fashion show at the bridal fashion week in Barcelona. These have not only been given in the form of headdresses, but floral motifs and bows that have decorated his bride proposals. The great ties have been a prominent feature of the designer’s wedding dresses, which, in addition, have mostly been very varied in terms of necklines.
Her necklines are high and close to the body. Her hands and arms are sheathed in gloves. Her torsos are dressed in corsets and bodices as imaginary shields, and her shoes are armed with metal heels reminiscent of foils. As for shapes, architectural cuts and straight lines abound in the garments, though still seeking significant contrasting volumes. Noteworthy is the care taken with the sleeves and the perkins necks.
Her style shows a rich variety of nuances. It is full of reflections of thecurrent woman, highlighting her plurality, but at the same time, accentuating the uniqueness of each person.
Significant among the wide variety of fabrics is the gloss and sparkle. There is also a profusion of handstitched embroidery in geometric patterns, striving for volumetric textures. The hues range from an array of whites to a golden beige, further combining strokes of strong pinks and black as well as prints.
As something new, Isabel Zapardiez has incorporated belt pouches and gloves into the look of her brides in 2019, creating the first collections that complete her broad range of accessories.
“Touché is passion, it is opposition and harmony between opposites, it is confronting life as a struggle … the collection is inspired by the world of fencing, to recreate an energetic and determined attitude, a woman always in the fight of everyday life , but also sophisticated and inspiring, and, above all, a plural woman, expressed in the great variety of fabrics and shapes that the collection encompasses and also in the most practical details, such as carrying a fanny pack.” Isabel Zapardiez

WOW
First model and I already like it! The second and I’m in love! Awesome collection! ?
and to me my grandmother has many good pieces in the closet of many famous houses and several toilets of great value, That 's why I've known and appreciated them since I was eight years old ;)who presented them to me. I do not have much but I know …Mr. Stelios had told us in class that you do not need to have much to taste ;)and that he has been wearing the same clothes for 20 years, if I had him for another year, he would tell me his opinion or they would become more greedy, because he made me a better person. The first day I will be hired somewhere where meritocracy + dignity will dominate, I want to go and become a tow!I will make you queen in order to celebrate against the injustice that beats our youth;)Kisses
