Isabel Sanchis presented her collection Fall / Winter 2018. A new collection inspired by the golden decades of sewing, centered on the 40’s and 70’s. A journey through these two decades that evokes the sophistication and elegance of the 40s with the geometric and free style of the 70s.

“We want to represent the union of the present with the future by showing a strong, free and secure woman.”

As in the previous collection, Isabel Sanchís, revises the work of fashion greats such as Yves Saint Laurent and Elsa Schiaparelli, two needles that maintained an intense romance with art that resulted in dresses that are now icons of fashion and what season after season they are resurrected in different catwalks.

This collection captures the union of the present and the future by combining artisan techniques such as handmade embroidery and metallic or plastic materials with geometric shapes. It is a collection with feeling, each outfit has its history, in it we advocate a free world in silhouettes in the shape of birds and butterflies, a world without warlike conflicts represented in some embroideries

Now Sanchís reinterprets the asymmetrical minidresses using plastic textures and oversizing ruffles or bows. We also see butterflies, which inspire layers, laces and even prints, like the dress inspired by Guernika, or the skyline of a large city at the bottom of an elephant pants. All in excess, both in the textures and in the forms, only a dress, in the purest Sybilla style, borders on minimalism. Lights, optical games and geometric shapes: the catwalk is dressed in black and white to reflect the philosophy of the new collection designed by Isabel Sanchis and Paula Maiques.

“We have been inspired by geometric shapes where circles and diamonds together with the movement of tissues create optical games”

The round pieces and the black color cover the entire collection. The designer superimposes, embroiders, pleats and sews circles to form waves, petals, waterfalls, three-dimensional shapes with a lot of movement. We also see very large metallic sequins that contrast on black dresses. Black is the basis of many dresses and on them adds ruffles, capes and all kinds of ornaments. Arty style black stripes that contrast on powder-tone transparent textures.

The various accessories are created by the firm and accompany each of the dresses of the new Collection in a different way, mixing modern elements. It is not surprising that each day the brand personality itself is imposed on the catwalks, especially those of high fashion. Isabel Sanchis seeks to create a different fashion concept, break schemes and create a trend, making a difference.

“Fashion is a form of expression. It allows you to show at any time what we want to be. It is also, magic and illusion. “

This collection flows from the high quality fabrics and textures of those decades to the high innovation of the 21st century. A luxury collection dedicated to women of the future.

“You have to dream, work and persevere, I can assure you that work always comes out and has its reward”
