Fashion is constantly renewing itself by creating exclusive, original and unique designs with materials never before seen. Following this goal, the brand ‘Black Tape Project’ has launched a complete line of bathwear that instead of putting, it should be stuck.

Fabulous designs of swimsuits, paraded on the catwalk during the BLACK TAPE PROJECT show at New York Fashion Week. A whole collection of swimsuits made with TAPE, in all the colors you can imagine. The way in which the ribbon lines complement the figure is different from any other wardrobe.

The project emerged one day in 2008, a rookie Cuban American photographer was working with a model that suggested to use electrical tape for the last look. The idea was not quite right, because the model did not look good at the end, but this gave rise to an idea.

By 2012, their creative services were selling like hot cakes in almost every local nightclub in Miami. Little was enough for people to begin to realize and the news went viral. Each club where he worked, published his photos and so more and more customers kept requesting his services.

Although this art project started only with black tape, he had already started experimenting with different techniques and new forms of adhesive tapes. He began to work with reflective tape in 2014, although no image about this concept came to light by then, as he felt (wrongly) that people might be more receptive to the original black belt.

Years later, at a charity event in Haiti, he used gold tape with the former Miss Puerto Rico, from whom he recorded a 15-second video in a tropical setting. By posting the video on his Facebook page, it only took 3 days for him to get more than 7 million visits and more than 50,000 shares worldwide. And the explosion of messages, and emails requesting radio and television interviews, was not long in coming. Articles in national news agencies and magazines were published worldwide with news.

The designer behind the signature, Joel Alvarez, considers himself an “artist of the insulating tape” and on his website you can find the adhesive in gold and silver with which he makes his exclusive creations. Also on Instagram, where it has more than 260,000 followers, you can see the original designs that take hours of work behind.

The firm has shown different models of these particular bikinis and swimsuits that are glued to the skin, creating original sets never seen before.

The American brand cuts strips of adhesive tape by hand and then places them strategically in the bodies of the models. Designs in gold, pink and the most classic black have paraded down the catwalk without leaving anyone indifferent.

Alvarez informed that silver and gold adhesive tapes from $ 21 each are already sold on his website. The project “The Black Tape Project” is inspired by the social and nocturnal life of the city of Miami. Joel became famous for his partying designs and now he has wanted to promote his swimwear line in catwalk.

Without losing time, this project has allowed him to meet some incredible people, while traveling around the world to exhibit this new artistic expression, where apparently, the best is yet to come!
