Inside the Paris Fashion Week

Fashion Month concluded with a final stop: Paris, the City of Light and fashion capital. In addition to the fashion proposals in New York, London and Milan, the French city always brings out some of the most delicious, eye-catching and memorable pieces. This season translates into sets of pictures inspired by Clueless, striking colors and, of course, berets (because duh, Paris). These were the best moments live from the streets and Parisian footbridges.

And this is your opportunity to take a look inside one of the most important events in the world of fashion.
You will enjoy the Elie Saab collection for Spring / Summer 2019 inspired by the smallest details of nature. Macrotopia was the name of the floral kaleidoscope that Elie Saab conjugated in her latest collection. The Grand Palais of Paris opened its doors to welcome one of the most romantic proposals of the week of French fashion. a lingerie mini dress was giving way to beautiful openwork dresses, black and white, long pants and satin blouses, and many details of lace and sequins. The transparencies were a constant game in a collection designed to step directly on the red carpet.

The jackets were tied at the waist by means of belts, and combined with skirts at ground level. We also saw some boiler suit and details of animal print on some of the garments, as well as rich prints of colorful stripes and details of rhinestones. The flowers of all kinds impregnate the short dresses of day and the long ones of night, until the animal print makes its majestic appearance in suits seventies. Asymmetries, openings, sequins and colored tulles put the final culmination to the fun and feminine proposal that the Lebanese designer presented at his adoption house, Paris Fashion Week.

In terms of trends, transparencies, Scottish motifs, patchwork – with a clear nod to the 80s – and masculine style suits marked the catwalk. While the berets were positioned as the star accessory.

Christian Dior, one of the most anticipated brands in each Fashion Week dazzled in one of the rooms of the Rodin Museum with an aesthetic inspired by the protests of 1968 and a collage composed of three thousand banners and images of magazines of the time, with sentences against sexual abuse and in favor of gender equality. “I am a woman”, “The voice of women”, “Women’s rights are human rights” and “It is not no”, were some of the inscriptions.

Yves Saint Laurent, on the other hand, also left a blunt imprint. In an armed walkway overlooking the Eiffel Tower, the French firm did not hesitate to repeat the stage for its winter catwalk (the Trocadero Square), adapting to the weather conditions, with thermometers marking three to six degrees below zero throughout the catwalk.

Tinted in black and with a clear reference to the 80s, the models showed blazers with huge shoulder pads and sequins, leather jackets and vinyl textures, shorts and mini cut dresses. The only color detail: the romantic inspired floral dresses.

From the parades that have already made us dream of what we will be wearing next Spring / Summer 2019 season, going through the best street style looks to the famous outfits. Precisely they have wanted to say goodbye to the city of light in style and have dazzled in the ‘front row’ of Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton.
